A Classic North Shore Celebration
Tara and Ben celebrated their elegant August wedding on Chicago’s North Shore, kicking off with an intimate night-before reception at the Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette.
Their Saturday ceremony took place at Saints Faith, Hope & Charity Catholic Parish in Winnetka, followed by a return to the Westmoreland Country Club for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. The entire weekend was a flower-filled celebration surrounded by family and friends.
A Timeless Palette of Green, White, and Seaside Blue
Their floral palette was classic yet refreshingly summery—grounded in lush greens with crisp whites, soft ivory, and airy seaside blues woven throughout. Without a trace of dusty eucalyptus tones or grays, the design leaned into brighter, cleaner greenery for a natural and breezy effect. Together, this palette evoked the feeling of a garden party by the lake—fresh, timeless, and full of light.
Garden-Inspired Wedding Party Blooms
Tara carried a petite, hand-tied bouquet of layered neutral flowers, blending ivory and champagne tones with delicate accents of pale blue. Blooms such as garden roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, scabiosa, and tweedia created a softly textured, romantic look—perfectly balanced to complement her silhouette. The result was an effortlessly elegant bouquet that felt both refined and organic.
Her bridesmaids each carried deconstructed, monobotanical bouquets—each featuring a single floral variety, such as peonies, dahlias, tulips, stock, and snapdragons. This modern take on a bridal party bouquet added individuality to each attendant’s look while tying beautifully into the overall garden-inspired theme.
Ben wore a classic white rose boutonniere with soft light blue accents to compliment Tara’s bouquet.
His groomsmen wore scaled-down versions of his boutonniere.
Classic Ceremony Florals at a Winnetka Church
At Saints Faith, Hope & Charity, the altar was transformed with a luxe mix of elevated and grounded floral arrangements. Hydrangeas, roses, and lush mixed greenery framed the space in a symmetrical timeless style, creating a serene and romantic backdrop for Tara and Ben’s vows.
A Summer Garden Party Reception at Westmoreland Country Club
At Westmoreland Country Club, guests were welcomed into a bright, airy reception space that reflected the couple’s timeless palette and refined sense of style. Two loral meadows were repurposed from the ceremony to highlight at soft blue wall of sentimental photos and letters. Elegant footed compote centerpieces overflowing with hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculus, and scrub ivy created an elevated garden party feel, while mint green taper candles and ribbed glass votives cast a warm, flickering glow across the tables.
A highlight of the evening was the outdoor floral chandelier—a showstopping feature adorned with hydrangeas, garden roses, and blue delphinium. Delicate smilax greenery draped from the indoor chandeliers, adding movement, texture, and romance over the live band and dance floor.
Throughout the space, thoughtful floral details continued the story: collected bud vases, soft candlelight, and repurposed bridesmaid bouquets in elegant glassware that brought the entire look together in cohesive, classic beauty.
An Elegant Summer Wedding Under the Stars
From the heartfelt ceremony in Winnetka to the glowing reception at Westmoreland Country Club, Tara and Ben’s wedding was a celebration of timeless romance and breezy summer style. Their day captured everything we love about August weddings—classic flowers, layered greenery, seaside hues, and the atmosphere that comes with celebrating together.
The Saville Flowers team was honored to bring their floral vision to life!
