Jessica + Adam | An Airy, Wildflower-Inspired Wedding at Firehouse Chicago

A Summer Wedding in a Historic Chicago Firehouse

Jessica and Adam’s June wedding at Firehouse Chicago was a beautiful blend of historic charm and soft, organic floral design. Set within a restored fire station, the venue’s warm textures, exposed brick, and vintage details created the perfect backdrop for a celebration rooted in ease and understated elegance.

Their floral vision embraced a layered sunset palette—crisp whites, soft ivories, and champagne tones accented with dusty pinks, peaches, and warm golden hues. Designed to feel airy and gathered, the florals brought a sense of movement and lightness to the space while complementing the building’s natural character.

A Wildflower-Forward Bridal Bouquet

Jessica carried a lush, hand-tied bridal bouquet that felt garden-gathered and effortlessly romantic. Built on a neutral foundation of ivory and champagne blooms, the bouquet featured garden roses, peonies, and lisianthus layered with loads of playful wildflowers. As an extra-special touch, Jessica draped an embroidered floral handkerchief around the bouquet’s stems as she walked down the aisle.

Dahlias, scabiosa, and garden roses added warmth and depth, while cosmos, Queen Anne’s lace, and sweet pea introduced an airy, whimsical quality. Draping greenery and blooming foliage gave the bouquet movement and softness, creating a design that felt picked straight from the meadow.

A Soft, Botanical Pocket Square

Adam was distinguished with a floral-forward pocket square, composed of petite blooms and whimsical wildflower accents pulled from Jessica’s bouquet. The look added a subtle botanical element to his attire while maintaining a clean, tailored feel.

A Romantic Summer Ceremony Framed by Florals

The entrance to the ceremony space was anchored by two statement floral arrangements placed atop wine barrels, creating a warm and inviting focal point. Designed with layered peonies, hydrangea, delphinium, and garden spray roses, the arrangements featured a soft palette of ivory, champagne, peach, and terra cotta tones. Sky blues folded in Firehouse Chicago’s outdoor ceremony space.

Two larger meadows were placed at the altar, framing Jessica and Adam in a colorful bookend of florals. Wildflowers were woven throughout for a more natural, bespoke feel, while blooming branches and greenery added movement and lushness. These meadows added softness and a sense of abundance, creating beautiful moments for both arrival and ceremony while offering the flexibility to be repurposed later at the reception.

A Collected, Antique-Inspired Tablescape

For the reception, the floral design shifted into a more intimate, layered tablescape. An eclectic mix of antique glass bud vases was placed throughout Firehouse Chicago, each filled with a dense and varied selection of blooms from the overall palette.

Every arrangement felt slightly different in shape and composition, creating a collected, curated look that elevated the space without feeling overly formal. Statement blooms and wildflowers worked together to bring texture, movement, and sense of fun to each table.

A Wedding Rooted in Warmth and Natural Beauty

Jessica and Adam’s wedding was a celebration of playfulness, color, and the beauty of letting florals feel natural and expressive. By pairing a wildflower-inspired palette with the historic charm of Firehouse Chicago, their day felt warm, inviting, and effortlessly romantic.

Saville Flowers was happy to bring this vision to life—creating florals that felt organic, fun, and perfectly at home within such a character-filled space.
