Golden leaves, a glowing skyline, and playful lovers—Nikki and Kevin’s October wedding at Lacuna Lofts was the perfect blend of industrial charm and autumnal romance. Tucked in the heart of Chicago, Lacuna Lofts offers an expansive rooftop view of the city’s iconic skyline. On this unseasonably warm, sun-drenched day, the venue came alive with the vibrancy of fall. The couple's vision brought together the raw beauty of the loft’s exposed brick and beams with a softer, more whimsical floral palette—creating a breathtaking contrast that felt both elevated and organic.

The ceremony took place in the glowy industrial space, where our floral design took center stage. Nikki, with her love for sunflowers, worked closely with our floral team to curate a palette that celebrated her favorite rustic florals in an elevated, upscale way. Rich fall foliage spilled from every corner, accented by soft buttery pastels, lush dahlias, and the perfect golden-toned sunflowers.

At the altar, a dramatic floral-forward arch awaited the “I dos”. Rather than a traditional structure, Nikki and Kevin opted for asymmetrical floral swags on our modern brass rectangular arch. The team also added organic greenery throughout the space on the the beams to soften the space further. This artful imbalance gave the ceremony space a sense of movement and whimsy, as if the florals were growing wild within the venue itself.

As the sun set, casting a golden hue over the skyline, guests gathered on the rooftop for cocktails, laughter, and panoramic views of Chicago’s cityscape.

For the reception and room flip, the couple leaned into romantic, textural details. Tables were adorned with gold compote centerpieces that added depth and warmth. Votive candles twinkled among mossy table scatter, creating a wild, modern and rustic look. Floating candles in clear vessels brought a delicate glow to each table, wrapping guests in a warm light and accenting their hand painted placecards perfectly.
