A Winter Wedding Told in Two Acts
Jillian and Sean’s February wedding unfolded as a beautifully layered weekend—one that balanced tradition, intimacy, and a distinctly modern edge. Their celebration began with a meaningful church ceremony on Saturday morning, surrounded by family and friends, before transitioning into a private elopement-style dinner and celebration at a Logan Square Airbnb later that evening.
Rather than separating these moments, the floral design was thoughtfully carried from one setting to the next. Ceremony arrangements were repurposed, textures were echoed, and color stories evolved—creating a cohesive experience that felt intentional, elevated, and just right for their unique styles.
A Funky, Striking Bridal Bouquet
Jillian carried a bold, sculptural bridal bouquet designed to feel dramatic, editorial, and modern. Color-blocked and layered, the bouquet centered around deep red panther roses as its focal point, paired with burgundy anthurium, lime green lucadendron, dancing sweet peas, and fluffy lisianthus for depth and romance.
Cascading phalaenopsis orchids, and touches of white, olive, and terra cotta accents added movement and contrast, creating a bouquet that felt dynamic and artful from every angle. The result was striking yet refined—a winter bouquet with presence, texture, and undeniable edge.
The Groom’s Simple Statement Boutonniere
Sean wore a coordinating red panther rose boutonniere, a bold and intentional detail that mirrored the strength of Jillian’s bouquet while keeping the look clean and modern.
Ceremony Florals with a Second Life
Two lush, mismatched burgundy pedestal arrangements framed the church ceremony, designed with enough structure and versatility to transition seamlessly into the evening celebration. Following the ceremony, these statement pieces were repurposed at the Logan Square residence—bringing continuity, scale, and floral impact to the more intimate setting.
This thoughtful reuse not only honored the design story but also allowed the florals to feel lived-in and layered, rather than confined to a single moment.
An Urban Elopement Dinner in Logan Square
The private dinner party at Jillian and Sean’s weekend Airbnb felt equal parts luxurious and relaxed—a modern elopement celebration designed for connection, conversation, and atmosphere. The tablescape leaned into warmth and texture, pairing abundant candlelight with bold floral accents and unexpected details.
Amber bud vases filled with luxe, earth-toned and richly colored blooms were scattered throughout the table, allowing each arrangement to feel slightly different while still cohesive. Gold taper holders held ombré taper candles in shades of taupe, burgundy, hot pink, and olive, creating a layered glow that felt intimate and inviting.
Bronze votive candles in varying heights added depth and warmth, while scattered kiwis and grapes introduced an organic, almost still-life element—playful and classic all at once.
A Winter Wedding Rooted in Intention
Jillian and Sean’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that intimacy can be just as impactful as grandeur. By blending a traditional ceremony with a modern, design-forward elopement dinner, their celebration felt personal, expressive, and deeply reflective of who they are as a couple.
From bold red florals and cascading orchids to candlelit tables and sculptural textures, every element worked together to create a winter wedding that felt warm and elevated. Saville Flowers was honored to help bring this layered, intimate vision to life—one filled with beauty and intention.
