Anna + Dorin | A Sculptural All-White Wedding at RPM Events Chicago

A Modern, Monochromatic Wedding in the Heart of Chicago

Anna and Dorin’s September wedding at RPM Events Chicago was a striking interpretation of modern elegance. Set against the venue’s sleek, contemporary interior, their celebration embraced a fully monochromatic palette—layered whites, sculptural forms, and dramatic textures that felt both refined and boldly expressive.

From the beginning, Anna envisioned an all-white floral story that balanced softness with edge. Rather than relying on color, the design focused on shape, movement, and material—creating a look that felt intentional, elevated, and deeply personal.

The Bride’s Sculptural All-White Bouquet

Anna carried a modern, sculptural bouquet designed with a highly intentional, editorial approach. Composed of creamy white roses, pale dahlias, and cascading phalaenopsis orchids, the bouquet was layered with bleached dried elements—including bleached ruscus—for added texture and dimension.

Each element was chosen for its form and presence, resulting in a bouquet that felt less like a traditional arrangement and more like a piece of living art. Clean, architectural, and quietly dramatic, it perfectly reflected the overall design vision.

The Groom’s Minimalist White Pocket Square

Dorin’s elegant black suit was complimented by an all-white pocket square featuring ranunclus, dried bunny’s tail, and bleached ruscus. Tucked right over his heart, it added a natural element to an outfit full of clean lines and sharp contrast.

A Black and White Wedding Party

Anna and Dorin’s female wedding party members carried miniature version of Anna’s all-white wedding bouquet which included garden roses, ranunculus, and bleached dried flowers. Male wedding party members wore petite versions of Dorin’s pocket square featuring all-white flowers.

Because we used absolutely no greenery in any of the wedding party’s flowers, the contrast popped against their all-black ensembles.

A Candlelit Entrance to the Ceremony

Guests were welcomed into the ceremony through a glowing corridor of floating candles, lining the hallway with soft, flickering light. The effect was immediate and immersive—warm, romantic, and very dramatic.

This candlelit pathway not only set the tone for the ceremony, but also created a stunning, light-filled backdrop for Anna and Dorian’s portraits. The reflection of candlelight against her gown and florals added depth and softness, enhancing the overall mood of the day.

A Dramatic Hanging Floral Installation and an All-White Floral Arch

Inside the reception space, the floral design transformed into a true statement moment. Suspended from the ceiling, custom hanging installations featured cascading strands of bleached amaranthus, roses, and dahlias layered with white orchids, feathers, and paper fans. These overhead pieces created a sense of movement and atmosphere, drawing the eye upward and giving the room an ethereal, almost weightless quality. The installations felt immersive yet restrained—dramatic without overwhelming the clean lines of the space.

Down the aisle, similar meadow-style arrangements anchored the room and gave the wedding party a beautiful runway to the altar.

At the altar, a broken arch composed of entirely white and cream flowers created a beautiful, monochromatic frame for Anna and Dorin’s vows.

A Clean, Layered Tablescape

The reception tables continued the monochromatic story through a refined mix of whites, creams, and soft neutrals. Sculptural compotes held thoughtfully composed arrangements, while abundant candlelight added warmth and dimension throughout the room.

The overall effect was polished yet inviting—modern without feeling stark, and layered without feeling heavy. Each table contributed to a cohesive environment that felt both elevated and intimate.

A Fresh Take on the All-White Wedding

Anna and Dorin’s wedding is a beautiful example of how an all-white palette can feel anything but traditional. By focusing on texture, silhouette, and thoughtful composition, their florals brought depth and personality to a monochromatic design.

The result was a celebration that felt modern, moody, and effortlessly sophisticated—proof that with the right balance of form and detail, even the most classic palette can feel entirely new.
